The U.S Department of Energy's Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy is the primary sponsor of the Solar Decathlon.



Teams

In the fall of 2002, the Solar Decathlon teams packed up the homes they designed and built and moved them to the National Mall in Washington, D.C., where they assembled a Solar Village and competed in 10 contests.
