The U.S Department of Energy's Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy is the primary sponsor of the Solar Decathlon.



2009 Competition

The next Solar Decathlon will be held in Washington, D.C., in the fall of 2009, when once again teams from colleges and universities from around the world will gather to compete.

2009 Solar Decathlon Teams

The final 20 teams for 2009 have been announced! See the DOE press release announcing the team selection. The final teams are as follows:
