Information for Kids

The U.S. Department of Energy Solar Decathlon is a competition for college students, but solar energy is exciting for students of all ages! Solar energy is using the light from the sun to make electricity. Students in the Solar Decathlon need to make enough electricity from the sun to "turn on and run" their houses (so they can watch TV and use the computer).
