Graphics and Photos

This page provides downloadable sponsor and event graphics and minimum guidelines for use of these graphics for print, the Web, and other electronic media (e.g., PowerPoint presentations). You may also access a collection of photographs from past Solar Decathlons from this page.

Graphics

Print

For most printed material, use high-resolution EPS files. For some publications, low-resolution JPG files may be acceptable.

Web and Other Electronic Media

For Web graphics or photos up to 200 pixels, use GIFs. For photos more than 200 pixels, use JPGs.

Graphics to Download

To download an EPS file, click on the appropriate link below and save the file to your computer. To decompress and use EPS files, they must be opened in an application such as Photoshop. To download a GIF or JPG, click on the appropriate link below to open the file in a new window. Select the image and use the "Save Picture As" function to save the image to your computer. Make sure you save the file in the correct file format (e.g., .eps, .jpg, or .gif).

Photos

If you would like to download photos from past Solar Decathlons, you have several options:

• 2007 high-resolution photos — You must credit Kaye Evans-Lutterodt/Solar Decathlon when using these photos.
• 2005 high-resolution photos — You must credit Stefano Paltera/Solar Decathlon when using these photos.

Additional photos from the 2005 Solar Decathlon are also available on NREL's FTP site. You will find several folders of photographs, organized by team, in both low- and high-resolution. View the files in the thumbnail images subfolder first. You will see that each photo has a number. Use this number to retrieve high-resolution files from the photos subfolder and appropriate captions and credits from the captions subfolder. You must credit Chris Gunn/Solar Decathlon when you use these photos.
