Map of the Solar Village

The U.S. Department of Energy Solar Decathlon 2009 took place on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. The solar village was constructed between 10th Street and 14th Street and between Madison Drive and Jefferson Drive.

On the north side of the walkway, the house numbers and teams, from east to west, are: (101) University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, (103) Team Missouri (Missouri University of Science & Technology, University of Missouri), (105) Rice University, (107) Team Ontario/BC (University of Waterloo, Ryerson University, Simon Fraser University), (109) Penn State, (111) University of Kentucky, (113) Team Boston (Boston Architectural College, Tufts University), (115) Virginia Tech, (117) Universidad de Puerto Rico, and (119) Team California (Santa Clara University, California College of the Arts). On the south side of the walkway, the house numbers and teams, from east to west, are: (102) University of Louisiana at Lafayette, (104) The University of Arizona, (106) Team Alberta (University of Calgary, SAIT Polytechnic, Alberta College of Art + Design, Mount Royal College), (108) Iowa State University, (110) Team Spain (Universidad Politécnica de Madrid), (112) The Ohio State University, (114) Team Germany (Technische Universität Darmstadt), (116) Cornell University, (118) University of Minnesota, and (120) University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. A workshop tent and picnic area are located on the east end of the village. In the center of village are exhibits and the Metro Welcome Tent. The main tent is on the west end. First aid is available just north of House 111. Restrooms are located on the walkway to the north of Decathlete Way.
